Beta-2 Microglobulin (B2M)
Beta-2 Microglobulin (B2M) is a low molecular weight protein which is present on the surface of most nucleated cells and is a component of the Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) class I molecules. It is used as a tumor marker, where increased levels in the blood can be associated with certain malignancies and diseases affecting renal function.
B2M is also utilized as a prognostic tool in various medical conditions, including multiple myeloma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
High quality Beta-2 microglobulin (B2M) protein derived from urine and supplied as a lyophilized powder.
Immunological identity and ß-2-M concentration determined by Radical Immunodiffusion (RID). Electrophoretic and Chromatographic data of the major component is consistent with molecular weight of ß-2-M (approximately 11,800)
Source: Human Urine
Country of Origin: United States
Filtration: 0.2 µm
Storage Temp: -20 °C
Definition: Defined as -15°C to -30°C
